Hi! I am Ted.
As a kid I loved following my Dad as he worked on his various home improvement projects. He instilled in me the pride of working with your hands. My greatest joy is when I fix something that is broken or learn a new skill or technique.
I went on to get a degree in engineering. I worked in the construction materials industry for over three decades before retiring. During my career I was involved in design, manufacturing, projects and customer support.
The background in engineering and construction materials gives me a unique perspective on the technical aspects of garage design, building and troubleshooting.
I developed a passion for home improvement, organization, and DIY projects. I kind of followed in my dad’s footsteps as I spent most of my free time on various projects around the house. I love problem-solving and creating functional spaces.
Now that I am retired, I love researching, writing and sharing my knowledge on garages and related topics. I also enjoy exploring new hobbies and spending time with my family. In my free time, you can find me working on home improvement projects, gardening, and tinkering with cars in my own garage.
Whether you are a homeowner looking to build a new garage or a professional looking to increase your knowledge on the subject, I hope you find my articles helpful and informative. I strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information on a wide range of topics related to garages, including design, construction, organization, and maintenance.
If there is anything that you would like me to cover, in addition to what I already have on my website, please feel free to drop me an email at ted.garagemadesimple@gmail.com
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy researching and writing them!
